What We Offer...
We run our activities every day of the week, from April to October.
North Skye Outdoors is a small, multi-activity outdoor centre offering good times in sea kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, hill walking and archery near Uig and Portree on the Isle of Skye. We run our taster activities from 1.5 hours up to full days with a range of options, so we can tailor to your pace and experience level!
Friday's & Saturday's in Portree...
Join us on the water every Friday and Saturday at Skye Sailing Club, Portree, a 5 minute walk from the town centre! All details for guided paddleboard (SUP) and sea-kayak sessions below:
- Times: 1.5 hour sessions at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm
- Price: just £30 per person
- Group size: max 6 per guide
- You bring: shoes that can get wet, swim wear for under a wetsuit if paddleboarding, sportswear and appropriate layers for the weather if kayaking. No denim or jeans! A towel, water bottle and warm dry clothes for after are suggested extras :)
- We provide: all safety equipment (buoyancy aids, wetsuit etc.), changing and bathroom facilities, a friendly guide, and the stunning surrounds of Portree harbour!

Our Roots...
North Skye Outdoors is based out of Whitewave, and is a reincarnation of ‘Whitewave; Skye’s Outdoor Centre’, which has been run for over 30 years in the same location by John and Anne. For more details head over to The Story.
Cam and Izzy, the pair behind North Skye Outdoors have put a new twist on the foundations John and Anne created, but follow the same core values in encouraging everyone to try something new in the outdoors. There is also brilliant self-catering accommodation at Whitewave in the form of rooms or wigwam pods.
